WEI CHUNRONG, CHINA NORTHERN KUNQU OPERA THEATRE - Jade

Mijn ervaring:

Live klonk de muziek erg hoffelijk en indrukwekkend. De Engelse vertaling van het Chinees is in deze clip niet te zien, maar werd wel vertoond op het Holland Festival in de Stadschouwburg. De vertaling geeft echt een extra dimensie. De 'gedichten' die worden gezongen, geven de gallante manier van interactie tussen mensen weer en de bewondering voor natuur en zijn symbolisme.

Dit jaar is er weer KUNQU opera op het Holland Festival! Deze keer met morderne kunstenaarst uit binnen en buitenland die hun 'twist' er aan geven. Ben benieuwd wat ik daar van vind. Hopelijk kan ik er heen en het u vertellen.

My experience:

The live music sounded very courteous and impressive. The English translation is not shown in this video clip, but it was at the Holland Festival in Stadschouwburg theatre. The translation realy puts an extra dimension. The poetry which is sung, shows the gallant way of interacting between people and the admiration for nature and its symbolism. This year there is again KUNQU opera at the Holland Festival. I am curious to see what it brings. This time there will be modern artists from Holland and China adding there 'twist' to it. Hope I can make it to see it and tell you about it.
